Career Camp Inspires Students to Explore Their Futures
Building Career Confidence Through Experience

The first session of this summer's Own Your Future Career Camp has wrapped up after a week of workshops, networking, and campus exploration, helping high school students build career readiness skills and gain confidence in planning their futures.
The five-day program combined career development activities with experiential learning opportunities, including interactions with professionals, networking events, and behind-the-scenes visits across the University of Guelph.
Participants explored a wide range of fields, from wildlife conservation and veterinary medicine to artificial intelligence, engineering, history, and plant science.
Interest in the program continues to grow, with registration numbers already double those of last year's camp.
The strong response highlights an increasing demand for opportunities that help young people explore careers, develop workplace skills, and make informed decisions about their future education and career paths.
