Arts & Science Connections: A Deconstructed Conference about Career Possibilities
October 6 & 7, 2026
This annual conference is created in collaboration with the College of Arts and Experiential Learning Hub for all Bachelor of Arts and Science students, regardless of year or class schedule.
Create your own conference; attend one, a few or all of the presentations, workshops and panels.
Broaden your perspective, learn how to career wayfind and build your unique career path.

This Year We Are Exploring Branding, Sharing Your Story & Career Identity
Every experience you've had, every challenge you've overcome, and every interest you've pursued contributes to your unique story. Learning to recognize and communicate that story is an essential skill for academic success, career development, networking, and future opportunities.
In this interactive conference, you'll be guided through a series of reflective exercises designed to help you identify your strengths, values, motivations, and experiences. You'll explore how these pieces come together to shape your personal brand and learn practical strategies for confidently sharing your story with others.
Whether you're preparing for an application, interviews, networking events, graduate school, or simply trying to better understand your own path, this conference will help you develop a clearer sense of your career identity and a narrative that reflects who you are and where you're headed.
You'll Leave With:
- Greater clarity about your personal strengths and values
- A stronger understanding of your evolving career identity
- A developed personal story you can adapt for networking, applications, and interviews
- Practical tools to communicate your unique value with confidence
Your story is already unfolding. This conference is an invitation to pause, reflect, and discover how to tell it with authenticity and purpose.

“Wayfinding is the ancient art of figuring out where you are going when you don’t actually know your destination. For wayfinding, you need a compass, and you need a direction. Not a map – a direction … Wayfinding your life is similar. Since there’s no one destination in life, you can’t put your goal into your GPS and get the turn-by-turn directions for how to get there.” - Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, Designing Your Life
