Landscape Architect Prof Named to CSLA Class of Fellows

Posted on Thursday, April 30th, 2026

Dr. Robert Corry, a professor in OAC's School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, has been named a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) College of Fellows, one of the profession’s highest honours.

Corry is among thirteen new Fellows who will be formally inducted during the 2026 CSLA-APALA Congress in Halifax in June. The designation recognizes outstanding, career-long contributions to landscape architecture. Since the College’s founding in 1964, fewer than 300 members have received the prestigious distinction.

An internationally respected scholar and educator, Corry’s work bridges landscape ecology, agricultural systems and land reclamation. His teaching focuses on ecological systems analysis and design within the Bachelor and Master of Landscape Architecture programs, while his research examines how landscapes can be restored and managed for both environmental and social benefit.

Over his career, Corry has earned numerous honours, including the American Society of Landscape Architects’ President’s Award of Excellence and multiple awards from the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture. He was also inducted into the CELA Academy of Fellows in 2022.

You can read more about the 2026 Fellow's and Dr. Corry's induction on the CSLA website.
