Bovine Education Trust

Real-life learning makes better veterinarians.

Giving veterinary students opportunities to learn on-the-job skills is vitally important for many reasons. The public wants safe and abundant food. Producers want assurance of care and insightful advice. Practising veterinarians want a talented new generation to carry on.

Educators and practitioners are taking action.

The Bovine Education Trust will help veterinary students gain more of that invaluable experience. Established by the Ontario Association of Bovine Practitioners and the Ontario Veterinary College, the trust builds upon the long-standing tradition of practitioners mentoring students.

It will help provide veterinary students with the skills and experience they need to launch their career in rural communities by providing financial support for:

  • summer placements
  • extracurricular learning opportunities
  • external electives
