Profile
Dr. Erika Sjolin is a residency-trained large animal internal medicine specialist. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021 and began her career in Alberta with Burwash Equine Services as an equine ambulatory practitioner. Dr. Sjolin later returned to the OVC to complete a residency in large animal internal medicine and is currently finishing her Doctor of Veterinary Science (DVSc). Her clinical interests include neonatal medicine and neurology. In her free time, she enjoys visiting the zoo and spending time with her tiny senior poodle, Lola.
Research Interests
Dr. Sjolin is currently finishing her DVSc, studying studying spore-forming bacteria in the large intestine of healthy horses and those with colitis.
