Project Overview
We are recruiting a fully funded MSc student to work on a research project using multi-site data collected across Canada (Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia) to understand and predict cyanobacterial (blue-green algae) concentrations in recreational waters.
Objectives
- Identify key environmental drivers of cyanobacterial blooms
- Analyze two-year data from multiple beach sites
- Apply Bayesian and multi-level modelling approaches
- Integrate weather, water quality, and land-use data
- Support improved monitoring and public health decision-making
