Profile

Dr. James Mori is a veterinary clinical pathologist who completed both his DVM and DVSc at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph. He is excited to be joining the Department of Pathobiology as an assistant professor, where he looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm for veterinary clinical pathology with students, hoping it proves as contagious for them as it was for him. Outside of his professional work, James enjoys finding new ways to stay active. His recent pursuits include running, rock climbing and exploring the world of CrossFit. He shares a home with his wife, Shining (also a veterinarian), and their two brown tabby cats, Milo and Levi.

  • Prognostic biomarkers for canine and feline cancers
  • Application of flow cytometry to diagnose and prognosticate hematopoietic neoplasia across species
  • Advancing veterinary pathology education
