Philipp Samutin

Philipp Samutin is a violinist and dance instructor whose work explores the relationship between music, movement, and stage performance. He holds a Master’s degree in Music from Wilfrid Laurier University, where he developed an interdisciplinary approach combining violin performance, movement, and stage production, following formal training at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in Saint Petersburg, Russia. His extensive orchestral background includes performances with the Mariinsky Theatre and the Shostakovich Academic Philharmonic, as well as five years as a permanent member of the Saint Petersburg Northern Symphony Orchestra; currently, he works as a freelance musician collaborating with Glatz Concerts, TO Live, the KW Symphony, the Ontario Philharmonic, and various other orchestras and chamber ensembles.
