    About

I am an Assistant Professor in Cyber-Entrepreneurship and Information Management in the Department of Management at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business & Economics. My research centers on the challenges and strategies inherent in new venture creation and internet-based startups, examined through the lenses of gender, performance, and technological adoption. I investigate how integrating emerging technologies—such as social media and artificial intelligence—can enhance the performance and productivity of startup companies, particularly in addressing inequities. My work explores social innovations and enterprises that improve livelihoods, with a special focus on gender lens impact investing, North American entrepreneurship, and women's economic empowerment initiatives.

I view social innovations and enterprises as pivotal mechanisms to tackle intersectional injustices, aiming to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). My research underscores the critical role of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and equality in driving the survival and performance of new ventures. By highlighting how EDI principles influence entrepreneurial success, I seek to promote strategies that foster inclusive growth and sustainable development within the startup ecosystem.
