Accredited 1 Year On Campus MBA
The one-year in-person MBA is designed to provide recent university graduates with an intensive program, delivered in-person at our University of Guelph campus, which prepares them for the professional world.

Academic Requirements
- A four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university
- A minimum B– average in the final two years of your undergraduate degree.
- Applicants who are graduates of a 4-year undergraduate business degree (Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent) or who hold a professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA, PMP) may be eligible for a waiver of certain program requirements, at the discretion of the MBA Program Coordinator.
Work Requirements
- Applicants to the 2-year online MBA for working professionals must demonstrate a record of prior work experience, typically involving three or more years of supervisory and managerial responsibility.
- The 1-year in-person MBA for recent graduates does not require prior work experience. However, preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated record of relevant work experience and/or experiential learning activities (e.g. co-op, internships, consulting projects).
English language Requirements
- If an applicant’s first language is not English, or their undergraduate degree was not taught at an English-language institution, an English Language Proficiency test will be required.
University of Guelph or Guelph-Humber students
For a seamless transition to graduate studies, we offer a fast-track admissions process if you meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year honours program at the University of Guelph or University of Guelph-Humber: OR
- Have graduated within the last 3 years from 4-year honours program at the University of Guelph or University of Guelph-Humber; AND
- Meet the minimum admission requirements for the Lang MBA at the time of entry into the MBA
You will still be required to submit an application along with documents, however once your completed application is received, you will receive expedited processing of your application.
Advanced Standing
The University of Guelph gives advanced standing for students who have completed graduate-level courses. A maximum of two courses will be considered for advanced standing credit. For more information, please see the University of Guelph's Graduate Studies website.
Accelerated 1-Year On-Campus MBA:
Summer 2027 admission:
- January 15 -- submission of the online application form
- February 1 -- submission of all required supporting documents.
Fall 2026 admission:
Domestic Applicants
- June 30-- submission of the online application form
- July 15 -- submission of all required supporting documents.
International Applicants
- June 1 -- submission of the online application form
- June 15 -- submission of all required supporting documents
2-Year Online MBA:
Summer 2027 admission:
- January 15 -- submission of the online application form

An application fee of $150 CAD is payable to the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) directly when submitting your application. This application fee cannot be waived.

The cost of the Lang MBA program covers everything you need to successfully complete the program, including:
• Tuition and supporting course materials
• Meals and accommodation during the annual Lang Grad Conference
Entrance Scholarships
Lang Graduate Executive Programs Entrance Scholarship
Selected recipients (2) will receive $20,000 which is awarded over three semesters beginning in the summer.
Eligibility Criteria: Students entering the MBA program in the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics Executive Programs with demonstrated leadership, academic and professional excellence.

International Students
International students may research the NAFSA web page. Students have been successful in obtaining loans through these organizations, specifically if they have a United States resident who is willing to co-sign with them.

The In-person MBA meets Canadian Immigration and Citizenship’s eligibility criteria for international students to obtain a study permit and a post-graduate work permit. For more information, please contact Canadian Immigration directly.
The Online MBA for working professionals does not meet Canadian Immigration and Citizenship’s eligibility criteria for international students to obtain a study permit, as the courses are delivered online. International students should apply for a Visitor’s Visa to attend the in-person experiences.
