Specific Preferred competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content:
The successful candidate will preferably have a Ph.D. degree in Biological Engineering or a related engineering discipline. The candidate will demonstrate knowledge in the application of engineering principles to the processing of biological
products in the biological and food industry. Candidates should demonstrate excellent knowledge of the analysis and design
of unit processes such as sedimentation, centrifugation, filtration, milling, mixing involving rheology and non-Newtonian
fluid dynamics of biological materials. In addition, the analysis of heat and mass balances for drying evaporation, distillation and extraction is required in the delivery of this course.
