This course introduces students to physical design professions with emphasis on the role of Landscape Architects. Emphasis is on the development of design awareness, process, communication skills, and creativity. The University of Guelph has vaccination and masking policies that may be altered with limited notice depending on COVID-19 circumstances and advice from government, public health authorities, and prevailing science. Currently, the vaccination and masking policies are paused. With the evolving nature of the pandemic, public health measures may resume with little advance notice to address the health risks. Should this occur, vaccinations will be required. You can choose to submit proof of vaccination before your start date. BLA or MLA with significant (+10yrs) professional practice experience related to design; registered Landscape Architect.
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Proven teaching ability; experience in teaching foundational design courses; experience with student critiques.
Preferred Qualifications
Specific Preferred competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
MLA or BLA with related Masters degree preferred. Membership with OALA or other component association of the CSLA an asset.

M/W 10:00 AM - 12:50 PM
Period of the Work Agreement (Start Date and End Date):

Wages (per semester, per full-load):
