Includes responsibilities and duties that will ensures the student: 1. becomes knowledgeable and competent with regard to the technical design process which occurs after preliminary designs have been approved; 2. demonstrates proficiency in the execution of site construction drawings; 3. augments and refines technical skills and knowledge previously covered in associated landscape construction-content courses (LARC 3430, 2420, and 2410); 4. communicates an understanding of the interrelationships and direct associations between design and construction; 5. develops an understanding of project specifications, and budget estimating; 6. further develops AutoCAD skills for the purpose of employing this technology in the technical design process; and 7. is prepared for professional practice.

Masters related to field

MLA or BLA with significant demonstrated professional experience
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Proven teaching ability; experience in teaching foundational design courses; experience with student critiques. The successful candidate must demonstrate competence, skills, and capability to teach the following: (1) Technical Design as applicable to Landscape Architecture (e.g., green infrastructure/ SWM utility design standards, accessibility/barrier-free standards, standards and detailing for pavements, lighting, planting and site furnishings, and the latest editions of the Canadian Landscape Standard, Ontario Building code, AODA, etc.); (2) Production of Construction Documentation (plan drawings, section/elevation drawings, specifications and budgets for site preparation, layout, grading, planting direction); (3) Documents for Tendering & Contract Awarding; (4) Techniques related to Project Management & Contract Administration.
Preferred Qualifications
Specific Preferred competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
MLA or BLA with related Master's degree preferred. Membership with OALA or other component association of the CSLA an asset.
