Other Course Description or Assignment Information: 
The course is restricted to MCL students (early-mid career conservation professionals). This course is delivered over 7 weeks (September 8th to October 18th) and is 0.25 credits for the students, thus this work assignment is pro-rated to 0.5. The University of Guelph promotes a healthy campus. Submission of a final and deferred exam, if applicable, to Department ahead of the exam period. Grading deferred exams, if applicable. Follow the course module as outlined in the learning management system (e.g., CourseLink), and will liaise with the Master of Conservation Leadership grad coordinator.

Degree: 
Masters related to field
Prior Teaching Experience: 
No teaching experience required
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Content expertise in conservation biology and familiarity with evidence-based decision making in the conservation sector. Experience working in conservation science. Demonstrated familiarity with contemporary conservation challenges. Demonstrated familiarity with distance education courses and online learning management systems (e.g., CourseLink).
Preferred Qualifications
Degree: 
PhD and expert in course content
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Many years of successful teaching related to contents of the course.
Research Experience: 
Quality and or Recent Research activity in areas relevant to the course demonstrating knowledge of current developments in course content.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
This is a seven week course - (Sep 8th - Oct 24th). The course is offered via DE, regular (near-daily) monitoring of the CourseLink discussion board and emails.
