This course takes a multi-species approach to understanding the basic principles of animal reproduction. Both the anatomy and the physiology of reproductive systems are explored in agricultural, companion and wildlife species with an emphasis on animals under human management. In addition, the development and application of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) for animal management are introduced.

PhD in progress in course content
Prior Teaching Experience: 
No teaching experience required
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Candidate should demonstrate good teaching skills, and experience and vast knowledge in the field of animal reproduction, including the following: anatomy of reproductive tract, reproductive endocrinology, reproductive physiology, gametogenesis, embryology, placentation, developmental biology, parturition and puerperium, reproductive management of livestock.
