AS PART OF THE ORIENTATION PROCESS, IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DONE SO, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THREE ON-LINE COURSES RELATED TO ACCESSIBILITY AND WORKER HEALTH & SAFETY. IF THIS PERTAINS TO YOU FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE FORTHCOMING IN A SEPARATE EMAIL FROM THE ADMIN ASSISTANT BEFORE CLASSES BEGIN.

Masters related to field
PhD in progress related to field
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
PHD IN HISTORY OR A RELATED DISCIPLINE (i.e. MUSEUM STUDIES). SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE IN TEACHING UNIVERSITY LEVEL COURSES, INCLUDING EXPERIENCE TEACHING IN A MUSEUM SETTING USING ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL ARTIFACTS. EVIDENCE OF ONGOING SCHOLARSHIP AS SEEN THROUGH PEER-REVIEWED PUBLICATIONS AND CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO CAN DEMONSTRATE TEACHING AND/OR RESEARCH EXPERIENCE IN THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THE COURSE; PARTICULARLY EXPERIENCE TEACHING ABOUT THE WAYS IN WHICH MUSEUMS ACTIVELY DEFINE AND COMMUNICATE CULTURAL MEMORY AND HOW HISTORY HAS BEEN SELECTIVELY REMEMBERED AND REPRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC. EXPERIENCE WITH COURSE DEVELOPMENT WOULD ALSO BE AN ASSET.

PhD and expert in course content
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level.
Research Experience: 
Quality and or Recent Research activity in areas relevant to the course demonstrating knowledge of current developments in course content.
Specific Preferred competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A GALLERY OR MUSEUM DIRECTOR.
