- The focus of this course is to provide students with the tools and skills required to assess a client's current fitness level. It covers a systematic approach for the appraisal and counselling of apparently healthy individuals, emphasizing the health benefits of physical activity. Students will administer a variety of fitness tests and health and lifestyle questionnaires and instruments. Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
An Exercise Physiology Certification and/or registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario and experience in the field

Candidates should provide in their application evidence of prior teaching experience and teaching success/excellence related to course content, which may include a dossier, teaching philosophy, examples of teaching innovations, course developments, evaluations of previously taught courses (e.g., peer evaluations and/or student feedback), reference letters, and any other relevant information they wish to have evaluated by the selection committee (some documents on file in the department or program, such as UofGH Student Feedback Questionnaires of courses taught on UofG contracts, may also be used). -Experience teaching fitness and/or lifestyle concepts to life-science students and/or health professionals; -Experience with mentoring teaching assistants (TA's) in a laboratory setting
