Course Number:
AHSS*2030 (Media & Communication Studies Program)
Other Course Description or Assignment Information:
Starting with the premise that storytelling - from stories told around a campfire to sprawling epics on the big screen - is an integral aspect of the human communication, this course explores different variations of narrative as it exists across multiple media platforms. Students examine how writers, theorists, artists, and media practitioners articulate the narrative, and how those expressions are influenced by the social, cultural, political, and economic circumstances associated with their authorship.
