CRWR 2400 is an introductory screenplay writing workshop. It will be the first time most of the students have taken a screenplay writing workshop at university. Ideally, the workshop should involve a mix of introducing students to thinking as developing writers about screenplays by established writers, introducing them to screenplay writing techniques and approaches, encouraging them to consider the cultural social and political issues in which the writing of screenplays is enmeshed, and having them write screenplays (in whole or in part) and comment on work written by their peers in class.
