Link to GTA hiring policy: https://www.uoguelph.ca/psychology/page/graduate-teaching-assistant-gta-hiring-policy PSYC*6690 is the first psychological assessment course undertaken in the CCAP program. It is intended to foster skills in cognitive assessment with children and adolescents. The course a clinical skills-based course taught at Maplewoods Centre for Family Therapy and Child Psychology. The course involves didactic and experiential components. Students will gain an understanding of the history and principles of psychological assessment, competency in administration, scoring, and interpretation of cognitive test measures (e.g. WISC-V), and develop report writing and feedback skills.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Degree: 
PhD and expert in course content
Registered Psychologist in the Province of Ontario
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Registered Psychologist in the Province of Ontario or eligibility to pursue/pursuing registration. Must have a strong identification, expertise, and practice experience in psychological assessment, including selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of cognitive test measures. Must have experience conducting integrated psychological assessments (cognitive, psychoeducational, socioemotional) with children and adolescents and ideally teaching or supervision experience related to psychological assessment (e.g., graduate or practicum students, interns).
Preferred Qualifications
Degree: 
PhD and expert in course content
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Many years of successful teaching related to contents of the course.
Research Experience: 
Quality and or Recent Research activity in areas relevant to the course demonstrating knowledge of current developments in course content.
Specific Preferred competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Current involvement with teaching/ supervision of clinical psychology graduate students doing integrated assessments (cognitive, psychoeducational, socio-emotional) with children and adolescents.
