Other Course Description or Assignment Information: 
The emerging field of translational regenerative medicine is explored in depth through a series of seminars, discussions, literature review and oral presentations. Specific topics include regenerative therapies for osteoarthritis, cell-based therapies in non-traditional model species, biomaterials, and novel therapeutic applications in veterinary medicine. ***IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING WORK ASSIGNMENTS AND COURSE DELIVERY: The University’s COVID-19 website ( https://www.uoguelph.ca/covid19/ ) provides important information about campus protocols and guidelines for those working on campus. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Degree: 
PhD related to field
Must have a PhD or equivalent
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Teaching experience in mammalian reproduction required.
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Candidate should have demonstrated excellent communication skills and experience interacting with students of varying backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree: 
PhD and expert in course content
Research Experience: 
Quality and or Recent Research activity in related field demonstrating knowledge of current developments in course content.
Specific Preferred competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in problem based learning.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
LECTURE MONDAY 8:30 AM - 9:50 AM plus office hours, prep time, etc.
Period of the Work Agreement (Start Date and End Date): 
January 2, 2025 to April 28, 2025
Wages (per semester, per full-load): 
minimum $8,519.05 (effective 2024/25)
