Prior Teaching Experience:
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Specifically in Gender and Sexuality Studies, Indigenous Studies and/or Critical Race Studies
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content:
Knowledge about Gender, Sexualities, Race and/or Indigeneity including knowledge drawn from lived experience. Demonstrated experience teaching current theories and methodologies related to Black Feminist Theory and Intersectionality, Two Spirit Identity, Feminist-Indigenous modalities of leadership, Queer of Colour Critique, the Queer and Trans rights movements of the 70s and 80s, Afrofuturism, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the RiseUp! and the BlackLivesMatter movements, among others in an interdisciplinary context. Demonstrated commitment to IEDI in pedagogical contexts.
