Prior Teaching Experience:
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Course, lab, tutorial, or TAship with instructional responsibility, including online synchronous facilitation
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content:
Strong communication skills, experience teaching and grading and knowledge of CourseLink are required.
Demonstrated knowledge of artificial intelligence and its impact on teaching, learning and assessment
Demonstrated knowledge of core pedagogy in higher ed: inclusive/UDL design, active learning, lesson planning, assessment alignment, and feedback for learning.
Skill in coaching/mentoring novice instructors: facilitating micro-teaching, guiding peer observation, and using rubrics to give actionable feedback.
SoTL literacy: ability to help students critically read and apply teaching-and-learning scholarship.
Technological fluency for online teaching (e.g., CourseLink, videoconferencing, collaborative tools); ability to model good digital pedagogy.
Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and Decolonization and Indigenous engagement in teaching consistent with University of Guelph frameworks and AODA.
