Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
The successful candidate will have a Master’s or Ph.D. degree (completed or in progress) in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or Computer Science. Successful completion of ENGG*3130 (Modelling complex Systems) or an equivalent course during an engineering / computer Science undergraduate or graduate degree, or demonstrated teaching experience in an equivalent course, is required. The candidate should demonstrate strong expertise in systems theory, complex adaptive systems, and systems analysis tools, with proven ability to apply computational modelling and simulation techniques to investigate and address complex global challenges in real-world contexts.

PhD and expert in course content
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level.
Many years of successful teaching related to contents of the course.
Minimum TA experience in similar course.
Research Experience: 
Quality and or Recent Research activity in areas relevant to the course demonstrating knowledge of current developments in course content.
Specific Preferred competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
The successful candidate will preferably have a Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Computer Science or a related engineering discipline. The candidate will be extremely familiar with systems thinking principles and their application to complex global issues, including systems theory, complex adaptive systems, systems tools, and systems approaches, and will have demonstrated experience in computational modelling and simulation techniques for analyzing and solving real-world interdisciplinary challenges
