This course in Organization Behaviour examines and analyzes organizations as open systems and focuses on key variables including organizational culture, the external environment, organizational structure, motivation, group dynamics, leadership, change management and communication. As such, the instructor must have significant experience in the field, in addition to successful experience teaching adult learners in an online environment.

Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level

Experience with organizational culture (E.g. external environment, organizational structure, motivation, group dynamics, leadership, change management and communication).

Specific Preferred competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Candidates should provide in their application evidence of prior teaching experience and teaching success/excellence related to course content, which may include a dossier, teaching philosophy, examples of teaching innovations, course developments, evaluations of previously taught courses (e.g., peer evaluations and/or student feedback), reference letters, and any other relevant information they wish to have evaluated by the selection committee (some documents on file in the department or program, such as UofGH Student Feedback Questionnaires of courses taught on UofG contracts, may also be used). Experience teaching adult learners in online environments, with a demonstrated ability to effectively deliver condensed course content to learners possessing advanced knowledge and professional experience in the course topic. Professional experience in organizational development, specializing in applying behavioural and structural strategies to enhance team performance, leadership effectiveness, and workplace culture. Research background in organizational behaviour, with a focus on how cultural dynamics and leadership practices influence performance and change within complex systems.

Section DE01 (Session II): This is a distance education course offering. As such, significant online monitoring, supervision and feedback related to student learning activities is required.
