This position will delivery 25% of lectures in collaboration with 3 other faculty members (approximately 8-9 lectures) in October & November (dates TBA). Instructor is expected to be present at the introductory lecture as well as at the final exam (dates TBA). This position may cover lecture topics including: energy flow in plants; harvesting photons; photoreceptors light responses, circadian rhythms, plant-plant interactions; carbon and nitrogen acquisition, transport and storage; secondary metabolites, synergistic and antagonistic associations. Manage course material and communication via CourseLink and emails as required. Maintain office hours (either in-person or remotely) as need be. Incumbent must be available for final exam invigilation as well as deferred exams/marking/grading as needed beyond the appointment end date. In case of the latter, the Sessional will be compensated in accordance with the Schedule "B" rate.

Degree: 
Masters related to field
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Capacity to use Zoom and presentation software (i.e. PowerPoint). Expanded knowledge or experience with plant biology sub-topics such as sexual and asexual reproduction in plants, pollination, fruits, seeds and nuts, photosynthesis, plant breeding, climate change and emerging trends. In addition, harvesting photons, photo receptors, light responses, circadian rhythms, plant-plant interactions, carbon and nitrogen acquisition, transport, storage, and secondary metabolites, synergistic and antagonistic associations.

PhD related to field
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Many years of successful teaching related to contents of the course.
