Offered Courses

Research courses in the Department of Integrative Biology include the following:

  • IBIO*4500/10 Research in Integrative Biology (a one-semester course)
  • IBIO*4521/22 Thesis in Integrative Biology (a two-semester course)

How to Register

To register for these courses, students need to provide the following three documents to the course coordinator to receive approval:

  1. A completed course Approval to Register Form must be completed in consultation with the project advisor and second reader:
    • IBIO*4500/10
    • IBIO*4521/22
  2. A course waiver form should be completed by the student (no advisor signature required) for each semester of the course. Please complete the General Information, Course Information, and Student Acknowledgement sections, plus the Credit Overload Waiver section if that is appropriate.
  3. An unofficial copy of student’s transcripts.

Once approved, students will receive a signed (by the course coordinator) course waiver form, which students can send to Enrolment Services to register for the courses.

Additional Information

Both courses are 1.0 credit courses that require a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week.

It is imperative that students make arrangement with a faculty advisor, who must be a faculty member at the Department of Integrative Biology, at least one semester in advance.
