The Ontario Agricultural College is proud to congratulate Dr. Saeed Ghazani, Research Associate in the Department of Food Science at the University of Guelph, on being appointed a Fellow of the American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS), one of the highest honours in the fats and oils research community.

Originally from Iran, Dr. Ghazani brings more than 20 years of expertise in lipid science, with research focused on lipid crystallization, polymorphism and structured lipid systems. Working alongside Dr. Alejandro G. Marangoni, his work has helped advance innovations in sustainable lipid solutions, cocoa butter alternatives and fat-reduction technologies.

Dr. Ghazani has authored more than 60 publications, patents and book chapters, and has made significant contributions to both academia and industry. He received this honour at the American Oil Chemists' Society annual meeting in New Orleans last week.
This recognition celebrates Dr. Ghazani’s outstanding contributions to advancing the science and technology of oils and fats worldwide.

Congratulations, Dr. Ghazani, on this remarkable achievement.
