Diane Borsato is an interdisciplinary artist who teaches 2-D Integrated Media and Extended Practices. Her work in relational art, public interventions, performance, video, photography, sculpture and drawing often incorporate absurdity and humour, and explore the critical potential of affect, and alternative, non-visual forms of knowledge. She has performed and exhibited her work widely in Canada at galleries including The Power Plant, Gallery TPW, and in Nuit Blanche in Toronto, at SKOL and at Occurrence during Mois de La Photo in Montreal, at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec, at Artspeak in Vancouver, Truck in Calgary, and at eyelevel in Halifax. She has also presented work internationally, in the US, England, Taiwan, France, and Mexico. She is a popular guest lecturer on her work and has been featured in numerous publications.
