Campus Safety at U of G

The University of Guelph Campus Safety Office (CSO) was established in 1967 and is one of the longest serving campus policing services in the nation.

The CSO is comprised of 3 divisions: Operations, Fire Prevention, and Emergency Management. Our service includes 4 Sergeants, 12 Special Constables, 4 Dispatchers, 2 Fire Prevention Officers, and Administrative and Management staff. There are currently four platoons that work a 12-hour rotating schedule providing continuous service to our campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
