Position Description:
The Department of Political Science at the University of Guelph invites applications from internal University of Guelph applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level.
The Department of Political Science at the University of Guelph is seeking applicants from internal University of Guelph applicants for a tenure-track position in International Law and Justice at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Political Science. In addition to possessing a promising research program in International Law and Justice, the successful candidate will teach courses in the global governance area of Justice and Legal Studies (JLS), including International Relations (POLS*2200), International Law and Organizations (POLS*3020) and Global Law and Courts (POLS*4020). The successful candidate will also be able to enhance the international dimensions of the JLS program and the Criminal Justice and Public Policy (CJPP) program by developing offerings that include a focus on issues such as transitional justice or the International Criminal Court.
The initial teaching load will be three courses per semester, though that load may be renegotiated to a 2-2 teaching load following a successful application for tenure and promotion.
