Meet David, landscape architecture student

David is a third-year landscape architecture student who has found his calling in combining construction and design to create functional and beautiful outdoor spaces. When he’s not in class or working in the studio you can find him rock climbing or helping to promote the BLA program at various events.

Our Sympathies: Pieter Groenevelt

It is with sympathy that we share the passing of Pieter Groenevelt on February 10, 2023. Piet was a professor in the School of Environmental Sciences from 1973-2002 and then a professor emeritus until his death.

Being a part of the Ontario Agricultural College (OAC) is a unique experience. What first-year U of G students should know

Are you trying to find an honest, truthful insight on how your first-year college experience will be like at the University of Guelph? 

I used to be in your place. I also did my research about the struggles and hardships previous U of G students faced before making decision for myself. However, it is very difficult to find the sincere insight shared by a current student. 

Our Sympathies: Kenneth Monteith

It is with sympathy that we share the passing of Kenneth Monteith, alumnus of the Ridgetown Agricultural College (now Ridgetown Campus). Ken was a fierce advocate of the College, supporting Ridgetown through fundraising and serving on the board. He received a Westag Alumnus of Honour Award, and an Outstanding Service Award from the Ontario Agricultural College, University of Guelph. 

New SEDRD Admin Officer

The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD) is pleased to welcome Cate Mennega as the new Administrative Officer for the school. Cate began in the role on January 31, 2023.
