We offer a wide range of financial aid programs to assist with funding your education.
- Our scholarships, need-based scholarships and bursaries provide numerous awards to qualified students.
- Our Work Study and Undergraduate Research Assistantship programs allow you to combine learning and work.
- Government assistance programs, such as OSAP, are an important source of funding.
Scholarships

Bursaries
Bursaries are given to students who apply and demonstrate a financial shortfall in their study period budget. Learn about the six categories of bursaries that are available.
Work Study
The Work Study Program provides students with demonstrated financial need the opportunity to meet their educational costs while developing transferable knowledge, skills and attitudes through part-time paid work experiences on campus during their registered term.
OSAP
OSAP is available to eligible students in the form of grants and an integrated student loan funded by the Province of Ontario and Government of Canada.
Financial Aid
We offer a wide range of financial aid programs to assist with funding your education, and Financial Aid Counsellors are available on an appointment basis to assist students in need. Counsellors can help with budget counselling, OSAP appeals, bursary appeals and emergency funding requests.
Travel Grants
Travel grants are provided to eligible students who wish to travel for a curriculum-embedded opportunity. Go study abroad!
Annual Report: Student Financial Support
The annual report provides an overview of student financial support at the University of Guelph. The report describes the University's numerous approaches to supporting its students and includes related facts and figures. It is intended to allow stakeholders to understand the University’s overall strategy and examine the trends and patterns over time.
