Each month, the GREAT at U of G Consultative Committee is randomly selecting a winner for the “G” Thanks! award. In the first month of the program, 28 nominations were received from various individuals and teams across U of G.
Chris Herkimer, Department Head of Hospitality, received several nominations from the University community and has been selected as the January “G” Thanks winner!
The OVC Smith Lane Animal Hospital team located within the Ontario Veterinary College’s Hill's Pet Nutrition Primary Healthcare Centre are a small, but mighty group. The team of 12 full-time and four part-time staff work closely with final-year student veterinarians to provide veterinary service to Guelph and surrounding communities. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, this team has continued to work on-campus, delivering essential veterinary care each daily to ensure their clients’ pets are well cared for.
We asked the U of G community to show their thanks to employees who continue to work at one of our campuses or research stations during COVID-19.
The community response was very positive, with many sharing their notes of appreciation and thanks to their colleagues.
See below a compilation of the THANK YOU notes.
