Complete your Degree at Canada's Food University

U of G has established a new admission pathway for agricultural science students at Lovely Professional University (LPU) to complete their Bachelor of Agricultural Science here in Guelph, Canada. 

U of G is excited to offer advanced standing to LPU students, allowing them to transfer directly into their 3rd year of studies. Each student is supported by a minimum of $15,000 in scholarships. Gain a global perspective on the challenges facing food security and environmental protection and the innovative solutions needed to create change.

 Easily transfer into 3rd year

After you've completed your second year, transfer directly into the third year of the four year BSc Agriculture program at U of G in Canada and graduate with diverse credentials and experiences.

Program Timeline for LPU Students

  1. Complete years 1 and 2 of your degree at LPU
  2. Move to Canada and transfer to U of G for years 3 and 4 of your degree
  3. Complete your degree at U of G in Canada*

*Students must complete 12.5 total credits while at U of G. This typically equates to 2.5 years of study.

$15,000 in Scholarships to Fund Your Transfer

International students transferring to U of G will be awarded a one-time $10,000 scholarship. Transfer students from LPU will be awarded an additional $5,000. Learn more about the International Transfer Scholarship.

  • Completion of four terms (2 years) in the LPU Bachelor of Science Honours in Agriculture (minimum cumulative average of 65%)
  • Completion of English (ENG4U), Advanced Functions (MHF4U) and 2 of Biology (SBI4U), Chemistry (SCH4U), Physics (SPH4U), or equivalent (e.g., CBSE Class XII English, Mathematics and 2 of Biology, Chemistry, Physics).

Note: Students admitted through this pathway will fulfill the English (ENG4U) requirement, as well as the Biology (SBI4U) requirement, and therefore only 1 additional core science is required (Chemistry SCH4U or equivalent is recommended).
