What do I do when a TA or SL reports a problem with the system?

Academic Unit Job Editors are the first line of support for their TAs and SLs. It is critical to be familiar with not only the role of the Job Editor in the system (i.e., managing work assignment postings, applications/competitions, offers and work assignment closures), but also how TAs and SLs experience the system as applicants. There are a number of strategies that will help in this regard:

College Managers play an important role. They are typically the first line of assistance for Job Editors.

Faculty and Academic Staff Relations (FASR) is also available to assist. Many questions (especially technical questions related to the system) are appropriately addressed by FASR. When seeking support from Faculty and Academic Staff Relations (FASR), email fasr.jobs@uoguelph.ca and copy the appropriate College Manager. Questions should come to FASR from the Academic Unit or College, not the individual TA/SL.  Academic units are encouraged to contact the appropriate College Manager for assistance prior to contacting FASR.
