The Environmental Health and Safety Department has developed its own distinct logo that will be identifiable with environmental health and safety at the University. The overall shape is that of a leaf, part of which is green (universally identifiable to the environment), which embodies the environmental mandate given to the department. Silhouetted inside the leaf is a blue outline of a person, which represents our mandate to provide professional and objective health and safety services to University faculty, staff and students. The blue colour of the person is synonymous with general health and safety information and awareness. The leading letters of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) are also slightly larger as it is these three letters by which we are most commonly cited.
