Study Abroad Applications

Online Study Abroad Application

The first step in applying for an exchange or summer field school program for the 20/21 academic year is to attend a Study Abroad Information Session with the Centre for International Programs offered from September - mid-January. Once you've attended a Study Abroad Information Session, you will receive access to the online Study Abroad application

Students from all University of Guelph academic programs are eligible to apply for a Study Abroad program. Please use our Program Search to find study abroad programs that work best for your academic program. Please note that the minimum cumulative average required to apply to a study abroad program is 70%.

Exchange Spaces Available at  Partner Universities

Please review this document with the number of spaces available at each of our partner universities when choosing your top five choices.

Remember that places with fewer spaces available are more likely to be competitive, and for competitive locations, students are placed based on the highest academic average. If students choose to apply to competitive locations, it is recommended that you rank them as your top choices and also include less competitive options to ensure that we can place you somewhere.
Please note that Australia and the UK tend to be competitive locations each year.

After attending an info session you received an email outlining the steps for completing the online application, however, you can also find the steps to apply here.

The application deadline for the online study abroad application is January 24, 2020.
