Volunteer

The Aqualab accepts a limited number of volunteers each year to assist with facility operations and animal care. If you are interested in volunteering with the Aqualab itself, please reach out to Mike (mcdavies@uoguelph.ca) or Jazmin (jwynter@uoguelph.ca)

If you are interested in gaining research experience with a specific lab or faculty member, please contact the researcher directly. A full list of faculty members conducting research at the Aqualab can be found here. Please do not send research volunteer inquiries to the Aqualab, as these opportunities are managed by individual research labs.

Work-Study Positions

From time to time, the Aqualab hires Work-Study students to assist with animal care, facility maintenance, and other operational duties. These positions are competitive and are not available every semester.

Keep an eye out on Experience Guelph for current Work-Study opportunities. As part of your application, you will be required to submit:

  • A cover letter
  • A resume
  • A PDF or JPG copy of your Student Awards Work-Study approval email
