Mike is the Acting Aqualab Coordinator. He completed an undergraduate degree in Biology and Art History at the University of Guelph before completing a graduate degree in Art Conservation Science at Queen's University. Over the past 15 years he has developed extensive experience supporting aquatic animal research, teaching and husbandry. Outside of work he can be found farming, maintain his own aquariums or on the wrestling mats.

Research Animal Technician

jwynter@uoguelph.ca

Jazmin is the Research Animal Technician at the Hagen Aqualab. After completing her undergraduate degree in Marine and Freshwater Biology, she earned her M.Sc. under the supervision of Dr. Glen Van Der Kraak, where she studied the implication of hypoxia on zebrafish reproductive endocrinology for her thesis. Since graduating, she has worked at the Aqualab, overseeing the overall husbandry and welfare of its aquatic and terrestrial animal species. If it isn't clear already, Jazmin loves all things aquatic. She keeps a variety of freshwater and saltwater aquariums at home and has an extra special soft spot for axolotls (ask her for pictures!). When she isn't at the Aqualab, Jazmin enjoys horseback riding, caring for her little aquatic critters, and staying active outdoors.
