Chemistry
Why Chemistry?
Chemistry is the study of the structure and behaviour of molecules – it’s the foundation of everything in our world! This includes the construction of molecules with specific properties for use in areas such as pharmaceuticals or the nuclear industry. You'll also focus on the determination of trace chemicals in the environment using specialized techniques for analysis and the design of new materials for the microelectronics industry.
Some of our students get a degree in chemistry as the foundation before pursuing another professional degree such as medicine, law, veterinary medicine or others.

Build a Strong Scientific Foundation
Students will gain analytical and practical skills spanning the dynamic field of chemistry, coupled with learning in a state-of-the-art facility, preparing them for careers or more learning after graduation.
Learn From the Experts
Internationally renowned, award-winning faculty are always eager to discuss course material one-on-one with students. Learning centres are staffed by teaching assistants to help students with course and lab material.
Deepen Your Chemistry Knowledge
Focus on organic and inorganic synthesis as well as analytical, physical and theoretical chemistry, in addition to learning the environmental and health implications of scientific discovery and technological innovation.
Gain Valuable Experience Through Co-op
Chemistry co-op is a four and a half-year program, which includes four work terms. This co-op prepares students for their work terms by helping them develop professional attitudes and skills expected in the workplace as well as helping to build a toolkit of resume and cover letter writing as well as interview skills.
