The University of Guelph has been named among the world’s leading universities in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) World Reputation Rankings. Appearing for the first time on this global list, U of G ranked in the 201–300 range worldwide and tied for ninth among Canadian institutions.
The World Reputation Rankings are among the most respected measures of academic prestige, and this year’s methodology emphasized vote counts, pairwise comparisons, and respondent diversity.
This recognition follows U of G’s strong showing in the 2025 THE subject rankings, which placed the University among the top 150 institutions globally for life sciences.
