Office of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation

The Office of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation (OVPRI) provides leadership and strategic direction for U of G’s research enterprise. It oversees key initiatives, including Food from Thought and Research Communications, and works to advance discovery, innovation, inclusivity and the impact of research across disciplines. Research Services Office

The Research Services Office (RSO) provides expert support for faculty in securing funding, navigating ethics reviews, and finalizing award agreements. Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance

The Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance is a world-class government-university collaboration between U of G, Agricultural Research and Innovation Ontario (ARIO), and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA). Designed to deliver Ontario agri-food solutions with global impact, the Alliance supports Ontario’s $51 billion agri-food sector through research and innovation, training and laboratory services. Research Innovation Office

Food from Thought

Food from Thought (FFT) is a research program at the University, funded by a $76.6-million grant from the Canada First Research Excellence Fund, that leads cutting-edge projects in livestock research, crop sciences, pathogens and food safety, biodiversity research, ecosystem services and integrated food systems.
