In this photo, open ewes were out on pasture, while we were helping the farmer fix some fencing. Ewes were integral to this project.
The Lamb FirstGro project tested a spray dried egg whole egg premix produced by vaccinated hens. Eggs laid by vaccinated hens contain antibodies against specific antigen groups. These antibodies protect against rotavirus, coronavirus, clostridia etc…
This project treated lambs with FirstGro in their first 28 days of life, to improve early immune challenges, increase average daily gain and reduce mortality.
