My research is focused on identifying and developing resilient sheep in the context of climate change. Climate change will cause environmental stress to livestock, particularly those housed outdoors like sheep. This environmental stress is known to increase the incidence of disease or lead to fatalities in susceptible animals. By identifying and selecting for animals that are resilient to this stressor, animals will be healthier and livestock production more sustainable.
