Cooking at school!

Near Chicoutimi in Québec a school has incorporated modern kitchen classrooms, with counters that are at an appropriate height to be accessible for 6-12 year old children to learn how to cook and follow along with their teacher. Educating children and youth about the foods they eat, where they come from, and how to prepare them is increasingly important in complex food environments. The results of this research will develop a “recipe for success” for food-related education initiatives in schools.
