Water moves through plant tissues 24/7. During the day, the water is evaporated into the atmosphere by the sun. At night, the water collects at the tip of the leaf until it is evaporated by the morning sun. This process is called guttation, and these water droplets balanced on the tip-top of grass blades is often misidentified as dew.
