My grandfather, a retired farmer, helps me collect corn rootworm beetles from an unexpected injury site. We share stories and research about our different experiences in agriculture, him as a farmer, me as a researcher. He holds a bottle attached to a plastic funnel used to collect corn rootworm beetles and gently taps the corn plants so the beetles fall off the tassels and silks into the collection bottle.
