This cow was one of many animals that helped sustain our field season in Madagascar by delivering water to our research team each day. Its presence offered a reminder that research is deeply connected to the communities, animals, and environments in which it takes place. Through research with Planet Madagascar, we are working to better understand lemur health and ecology while supporting sustainable forest communities. This reflects a One Health perspective, recognizing that conservation depends on understanding the interconnected needs of wildlife, people, livestock, and their shared environment.
