This one-eyed Coquerel's Sifaka was photographed during field research in Madagascar. By studying lemur health and ecology alongside the nonprofit Planet Madagascar, this research seeks to better understand the factors affecting both wildlife and the communities sharing their habitat. These connections are central to a One Health approach, where protecting biodiversity also means supporting healthy ecosystems and sustainable communities. Each individual observed contributes to a greater understanding of how we can conserve Madagascar’s unique wildlife.
